Office 365 Cloud Services Have Taken Teamwork at Into-Sana to a New Level

Prior to 2017, Into-Sana used a solely on-premises IT infrastructure. The applications used did not allow efficient communication and document exchange for all employees. In the course of IT modernization, a hospital information system (HIS) had been implemented supporting Into-Sana’s patient care processes. But this system offered only insufficient functionality for collaboration. For example, the provided scheduling tool could not be integrated and synchronized with the doctors’ Microsoft Outlook calendars. This lack of integration made the management of patient appointments inconvenient and time-consuming. Because the HIS functions are limited to medical personnel, the non-medical staff were even more urgently in need of adequate tools. Moreover, the existing systems made it difficult to integrate mobile devices or firstline workers without PC workstations into the communication loops. “In order to be more productive, we needed a modern solution for organizing communications and teamwork,” Volodymyr Bekhta, Head of IT department at Into-Sana, recalls. “That’s why we turned to COMPAREX for help.”

After a detailed analysis of Into-Sana’s situation and requirements, COMPAREX recommended the use of Microsoft Office 365 cloud services. Into-Sana followed this advice and decided to implement Office 365 including Exchange Online, Skype for Business, Yammer, and SharePoint Online, among others, in a hybrid IT infrastructure. In order to optimize licensing costs, the COMPAREX experts proposed a mix of various Office 365 plans (E1, E3, F1) tailored to the needs of different user groups such as doctors, nurses, administration staff or top management.

In April 2017, Into-Sana started to implement the new cloud collaboration services in Into-Sana’s largest clinic in Odessa. COMPAREX developed the Office 365 architecture design, supported the internal project team and provided quality assurance.
